Andrea Laforet retired as Director of Ethnology and Cultural Studies at the Canadian Museum of History in 2009. Since then she has continued long-established work in the historical ethnography and ethnohistory of First Nations in British Columbia, particularly among the Nlaka’pamux. Her current research involves the work carried out by James Teit under the general supervision of Franz Boas in British Columbia and eastern Washington State. She has agreed to undertake the editing of the Teit-Boas correspondence.
