Profile

Angie Bain is Nlaka'pamux from the Lower Nicola Indian Band of Merritt, BC.  She works for the Union of BC Indian Chiefs as an historical researcher and has worked in a similar capacity for many First Nations in British Columbia and Alberta.  Angie's research interests include British Columbia history, land rights research, early anthropological and ethnographic research, genealogy, linguistics and intellectual property rights.  Angie has long been interested in the published and unpublished works of Franz Boas and is happy to be a research associate on the Franz Boas Papers project.
