Regna Darnell, General Editor of the Franz Boas Papers, is Distinguished University Professor of Anthropology and First Nations Studies at Western.  She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, member of the American Philosophical Society, and holder of the Franz Boas Medal for distinguished service to the profession of the American Anthropological Association. Her books include And Along Came Boas: Continuity and Revolution in Americanist Anthropology (1998), Invisible Genealogies:  A History of Americanist Anthropology (2001), and Edward Sapir: Linguist, Anthropologist, Humanist (1990, 2010). She edits Critical Studies in the History of Anthropology with Stephen O. Murray and Histories of Anthropology Annual with Frederic W. Gleach, both for the University of Nebraska Press.
